How we helped
We assessed the current financial intelligence processes to identify key challenges. Using these insights, we gathered requirements for a technical solution and, with support from our associate network, performed a market assessment to evaluate suitable options. We developed a proof of concept (PoC) that addressed over 80% of the key requirements and outlined a roadmap for advancing the concept from PoC to viable solution. Throughout the project, we maintained strong stakeholder engagement, by providing regular interim reports with our final report detailing actionable options for next steps.
The Problem
UK Police sought to understand if there was a commercial of the shelf (COTS) solution that could support the triage and prioritisation of financial intelligence and if not, what would be the art of the possible regarding a bespoke solution that could align with their workflow.
Outcomes
Our quantitative data analysis gave UK Police a clear understanding of the scale of the problem as well as the extent to which existing solutions met or fell short of the requirements. Our PoC development enabled UK Police to understand the amount of cost and effort involved in procuring a bespoke solution and the associated benefits compared to alternative options. Having a report steeped in evidence, empowered senior leaders to make decisions regarding investment priorities.
